Creed 

• Definition: A creed is the foundational set of beliefs, doctrines, or statements of faith within a religion or system of thought. 

• Purpose: It provides the "what" of a religion—the core ideas about the nature of existence, God, and the purpose of life. 

• Examples: The Apostles' Creed is a well-known Christian statement of belief. 

Cult 

• Definition (negative): In common usage, a cult is a group that exerts undue influence, control, and psychological manipulation over its members, often isolating them from family and friends. 

• Characteristics: Key traits include a powerful, authoritarian leader who demands absolute loyalty, a rejection of critical thinking, and attempts to isolate members from outside society. 

• Control: Cults may dictate where members live, work, or whom they marry. 

The Three "C"s (Creed, Code, Cult)

In religious studies, the terms creed, code, and cult are interconnected elements of a religious system:

1. Creed: The doctrines and beliefs about ultimate questions. 

2. Code: The moral and ethical principles that guide behavior. 

3. Cult: The practices, rituals, and forms of worship that allow believers to relate to the transcendent. 

Key Distinction 

The main difference lies in the negative connotation often associated with the word "cult." While a creed is a statement of belief, a cult, in its commonly understood sense, is a group that exploits its members through controlling and harmful practices. A group can have a creed without being a cult, but a cult often uses a distorted or selective creed to maintain its power and control over followers.

3. Working with Independent Artists. We recognize the impossibility of focusing on your business while trying to focus on your art. Many artists find themselvs frozen between the two roles of their right and left hemisphere; unable to move forward with their feet stuck on both sides of the line. We help artists structure and implement technological solutions to automate as much of their business as possible and connect them with other professionals in the commuinity to fill the space where only a humans touch will do so they can focus on what they were meant to do: CREATE. We help plan and facilitate their creation becoming self sustaining and profitable.
